Of Service

Introduction

Like any team, we expect every player to adopt our mission as their own, and to work for the benefit of the whole — just as the whole works for the individual. To maintain a position on this team, there are various expectations, behaviors, and other requirements that must be met. This document outlines those items.

Mission

This alliance exists to become a competitive Top 10 alliance by training and growing from within, and by maintaining a positive, friendly atmosphere that attracts new members and retains existing ones.

General Order I: Conduct

Our most important requirement is that all players agree to behave respectfully toward other players of the game, in any alliance, on any server, at all times. Bullying, harassment, expressions of bigotry or hate, and any other form of abusive behavior is strictly prohibited. The penalty for disobeying this prime directive is immediate and permanent dismissal from the alliance.

General Order II: Communications

All players agree to read every notice, every alliance email, every private message from R4s, and to turn on phone notifications so that important communications are announced. Players also agree to maintain an active presence in the alliance chat room, vote in polls, and stay active and involved.

General Order III: Event Direction

All players must follow instructions from leadership during events like Enemy Buster, Canyon Clash, Glory War, Zombie Siege, Tyrant, State Ruler, and other coordinated group events.

Some events require purchases for tools and equipment, such as shields or teleports. Players must earn, save, and spend resources for alliance events as their first priority.

Subsection Alpha: Enemy Buster

Being shielded during Enemy Buster is required for all K1M players for the entire 24 hour period.

There are only two exceptions to this order. 1) you are actively hunting on another server to earn points, or 2) you are fighting in the mud during State Ruler.

Remember: You are not required to be active for the event; but you are required to be shielded.

Subsection Beta: State Ruler

Being present at the Capital during State Ruler is required for all K1M players during the battle period.

If you are Level 27 or above, at your option, you may choose to fight for points in the Mud Area or remain safe in the Grass Area. If you are 26 or below, or will not be active during the event, you must teleport to the Grass Area. All players in the Grass Area must be shielded.

Remember: You are not required to be active for the event; but your headquarters is required to be at the Capital.

General Order IV: Education

All players must adopt an educational mindset. In this alliance, all are students and all are teachers. We’re expected to respectfully mentor others when we have knowledge or wisdom to share, and to attentively listen and learn when somebody is advising us.

General Order V: Generosity

All players must abide by a philosophy of taking care of each other.

Caring means waiting by a treasure for others to arrive so they can get rewards.

Caring means using a Mastery Shield to protect somebody during an attack.

Caring means participating in discussions to help a friend in need.

Caring means giving freely without being asked to provide.

There are many ways to take care of each other.

General Order VI: Rules of Engagement

This is a war game, and fighting — for glory, for resources, for fun — is a part of it. But there are limits.

Do not attack anybody from Server 175 who has not first attacked you, or who has not agreed to fight. Weakening our siblings in other alliances weakens all of us in State-vs-State contests. This includes headquarters, trucks, Peak arena, melee mines, and season tiles.

(In Silver Arena, it’s permitted to attack 175 because there is nobody else. But do not attack K1M… obviously)

Never hunt alone; always go with a group. Conditions change quickly and an easy victim during Enemy Buster could turn into your slayer when several of his or her friends teleport around you.

General Order VII: Appreciation

When a player helps somebody, earns an achievement, or provides a service to another player individually or to the alliance, don’t merely say “thanks.” Really try to be thankful. The distinction is important and it helps form strong bonds between players.

Some ways to express gratitude include: publicly recognizing players in alliance chat, completing an A+ card on this website, sending private messages, and more.

There are many ways to show appreciation, but what’s vital is to avoid getting bored of kindness and service from others. Never, ever, take it for granted.

General Order VIII: No Drama

We have a very strict no-drama policy. Players who disrupt the harmony of this alliance by arguing in Alliance Chat, by trolling other players, by creating cliques/factions that damage unit cohesion, will be dismissed.

Penalties

We’re all adults, and we’ve all chosen to be on this team and to abide by its requirements and expectations. For those who don’t, we have a “three strikes” system.

Strike One:
An R4 will check to make sure an offending player is okay — because our assumption will be that something is wrong if players fail to meet their responsibilities.

Strike Two:
After two successive infractions, offending players will be reduced in rank to R1.

Strike Three:
Unless some mitigating circumstances have been communicated, the offending player will be removed.

Ranks

R1
Reserved for players on probation. These players are new and are being evaluated, or they’ve been put on probation prior to a removal action.

R2
The “Academy”. These players are still learning the ins-and-outs of the game, asking questions, working with mentors, improving power levels, and generally are growing with help.

R3
Mostly independent, R3s understand how the game works and are playing at an advanced level. They mentor R2s, participate in events, put up respectable VS numbers every day, and improve their stats at a steady pace.
